Sometimes, from 'ordinary' settings, extraordinary love stories grow. Tearna and Tye will tell you that their story is similar to others. Like many other couples, they met in a club when they were younger and started dating from there. Spend some time with this gorgeous couple however, and you'll realise quickly that theirs is a beautiful and special story of love and steady partnership that these days, sets them apart from the rest.
From the beginning, Tearna and Tye got serious about building a life together - literally. The first few years of their relationship was busied with building their first home in Ballarat, and then growing their family with two stunningly beautiful little girls. Although Tye did propose to Tearna early on, their engagement lasted eight years! But it was the innocent questioning from their eldest daughter about why her mummy and daddy had different surnames that made Tearna and Tye finally lock in a wedding date!
After securing a date at the incredible St Anne's Winery in Myrniong for both a stunning ceremony and reception venue, coupled with a most impressive menu designed and delivered by Mark Mills of The Plough Myrniong, all seemed set for the long awaited wedding. But with only 8 weeks to go to the big day, Tye was involved in a serious car accident, leaving him badly hurt and relying on the support of a neck brace. Hard work in physiotherapy sessions, and a strong determination however, saw our groom recovered, and awaiting his bride at the end of the aisle without his neck brace or supports - except of course for his Best Man and brother Heath, and Groomsman Nathan!
It was an emotional time for their family and friends as Tearna and Tye's gorgeous girls walked down the aisle along with Maide of Honor Ashley and Bridesmaid Leanne. Looking simply stunning in a Raffaele Ciuca designed gown, our bride recalls the walk down the aisle as her favourite part of the day.
And our Bride's advice to other couples? "Enjoy every moment of the day because it's over in a flash...I have been amazed looking through the images, particularly discovering parts of the days I was oblivious too, like the boys antics in getting ready and some of my portraits - I was in an emotional fog at that stage so I had forgotten parts of it all...so my recommendation would be to get a good photographer that can capture the whole day...because at the end of it, photos last forever."
